Our 90th Annual Members Exhibition will be held in the beautiful Burt Chernow Galleries at the Housatonic Museum of Art (HMA), on the campus of Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport, CT.
We expect a steady stream of visitors from September – February as HMA is situated within a community college with over 3,000 students and connections to arts organizations throughout the northeast.
We couldn’t have made this wonderful connection with HMA if not for Ann Chernow, a longstanding SAGA member and a former member of the Council. Thanks to her, we have the opportunity to exhibit in this splendid museum which was founded and led by her late husband, Burt. We are deeply grateful to Ann and her family for their ongoing support for SAGA and printmakers.
We are working with HMA staff to develop exciting public programming that may include: a conversation between Christina Weyl (Atelier 17 scholar) and Merle Perlmutter; a possible demonstration in collaboration with the Center for Contemporary Printmaking; our Platemark Podcast; and more. There will be over $5,000 in awards.
