Lynn Newcomb will exhibit etchings and lithographs at the T W Wood Gallery, a historic American art museum in Montpelier, Vermont. Lynn is one of three artists in this invitational exhibition of New England printmakers.

May 17th through July 8th with a reception on June 3rd.

I have never been an artist with a “groove”, preferring to challenge myself with each new project whether in sculpture or in printmaking.

The central subject of my prints is my love of black ink. I love its nuances, resonance, and power. My greatest influences are perhaps Piranesi and Rembrandt, artists who understood and exploited the full range of the printed black.
