Come see/meet Luanda Lozano at the SGCI 2024: Providence, Rhode Island conference, where she will be accepting the Mid-Career Printmakers award and participating in round 1 (12:45-1:45 on April 4) of the open portfolios.
We asked her what she loves most about attending SGCI conferences and what she’s looking forward to at the upcoming conference in Providence:

“I’m delighted to share my excitement about the upcoming SGCI conference in Providence! This year holds special significance for me as I’ll be attending the Awards ceremony to receive the Mid-Career Award—an incredible honor that adds to my anticipation for the event.

What I love most about the SGCI conference is immersing myself in the vibrant and enthusiastic printmaking community. The diverse works and approaches showcased in multiple exhibitions, demos, and open portfolios never fail to inspire me.

Learning from demonstrations and engaging with speakers contributes to continuous growth and learning within the dynamic field of printmaking.

Attending this conference is more than an opportunity; it’s a chance to forge new connections, engage in heartfelt conversations, and create lasting bonds within the printmaking community. I’m genuinely energized by the prospect of exploring Providence, checking out its galleries, and attending the Awards ceremony to celebrate this milestone in my printmaking journey.”
Visit Luanda and the conference and give her a big high five!
