Weiyuan Wang is an artist based in New York. She earned an MFA in Printmaking at Pratt Institute in 2026. Her practice is rooted in printmaking, where she explores duplication not only as a technical process, but as a conceptual and emotional framework.

Her recent exhibitions include PeepSpace Gallery (New York), A Space Gallery (New York), the 2026 National MGC Community Print Studio Exhibition at Powerhouse, Double Takes Two (Pratt MFA Thesis Show, Brooklyn), Immortal Banquet (Taoyuan Museum, Taiwan), and presentations with Taiwan-Plus and RetroJam in Osaka and Taipei. After I graduated in Fine Arts from Taiwan, I worked as a graphic designer, which got me fascinated in the process of publishing, the concept of duplication in printed media. That changed my way of thinking a lot. How to duplicate things in same quality is the hardest part to me, but also attractive. Maybe that’s the start of “The work of art in the age of mechanical reproduction”. I make things in plural and present it in plural. Gives me a sense of prosperity and symmetry. Just like my star sign Gemini, it’s more fun to have fun together.
