Tomomi Ono was born in 1968 in Osaka, Japan, where she studied traditional Japanese painting. After living for a while in Spain, she moved to New York in 1993, where she studied lithography at the Art Students League. She currently lives and maintains a studio in Brooklyn, NY. Ono’s work has been exhibited in the US, East Asia, and Europe. She is the recipient of numerous grants and awards, and her work is in prestigious private collections, as well as in major public collections, including the New York Public Library.
