Biography

My work is very much inspired by process and nature. Both carving and printing is a working relationship that brings life to the finished print. I’m interested in creating mood and atmosphere of a specific time and place. While I’m inspired by nature and travel, I’m more importantly inspired by the reductive printmaking process.

Stephen grew up in Buffalo, NY and moved to NYC in 2007 to earn his Masters Degree in Painting from the New York Academy of Art in 2009. He is currently living and working in the Bronx, NY. He specializes in woodblock and reductive printmaking techniques. Stephen has worked on several collaborative prints with other artists and designers including David Bull, Jed Henry, Paul Binnie, and Studio MDHR. His passion for rock climbing, cycling, and traveling continues to inspire his landscape prints designs.
