Sarah Smelser received her BA from University of California Santa Cruz, and her MA and MFA from the University of Iowa. She is a professor in the Wonsook Kim School of Art at Illinois State University. Sarah has had solo exhibitions in venues such as Kathryn Markel Fine Arts, Urban Institute for Contemporary Art, and the Evanston Art Center. Her work is exhibited in solo, invitational and juried shows nationally and internationally.

Smelser teaches workshops at Frogman’s Print Workshop, Remarque Print Workshop, Chicago Printmakers Collaborative, Manhattan Graphics Center, Lower East Side Printshop, Grand Marais Art Colony, and Kala Art Institute.
