Looking at historical premises of human and animal relations towards migratory movements using symbols and signs. This work also speaks to the level of migration as an inherent part of human nature that transcends our ability to carry our traditions from past generations. The work produced in my studio is evidence of our own history. We find our own place in life by overcoming obstacles and challenges by bringing awareness to the misconceptions about migration. I use printmaking, mix-media, and sculpture to create the visual language of my work to be expressed with the concerns of the well-being of global human movements caused by climate change, economies, and political unrest.
