Biography
Ren Ko is a designer and printmaker with a BFA in Communication Design and a minor in Printmaking. Originally from Southern California, she moved to New York City in 2021 to pursue her creative endeavors and graduated from Parsons School of Design in 2025. She enjoys creating artists books, experimenting with various print techniques, and learning other art forms in her free time. She is currently learning ceramics so she can merge her printmaking with functional pieces.
Inspired by poetic humanity, Ren Ko is a multidisciplinary designer who works in varied printing mediums that help her express intricate narratives of intersectionality, femininity, womanhood, and nostalgia. Ranging from contemporary to traditional techniques, Ren creates print ephemera like books, posters, zines, to reveal the joys of community through shared feelings of self-liberation. She is experienced in printmaking techniques, where she allows the nature and uncertainty of production to also influence how she portrays her concepts.
