I work to uncover synergies between surgery and printmaking—practices that create within the space of destruction. As a surgeon, I deconstruct the human body to heal, maintaining critical tension of human tissue. As an artist, I create through relief, lithography, and intaglio processes to expose this tension through visual dialogue. My work explores how the literal and metaphorical dissection of the body reflects challenges in healthcare. Just as I navigate the body to heal, my prints aim to expose delicate social structures: the discomfort of learning on unknowing bodies, rejection of scientific authority, and the impact of misinformation on patients.
