Julie Nadel is a linocut printmaker from the New York area and prints her images at the Art Students League. Working primarily in black and white, her work has recently expanded to introduce limited color. Linocut, the method of cutting away from a block to reveal the light, is her preferred medium, though white line prints hold a fascination as well. Coney Island in Brooklyn and other carny-related themes are favorite subjects and frequently appear in her work.
