Jaime Wing is a queer fine artist, printmaker and designer, often using recycled and repurposed materials to create work inspired by the natural world around him, all the things that make us human, and our relationships with nature. He has a BFA in Printmaking from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and is currently a member of Pickwick Independent press in Portland, Maine. He became a member of the NHAA in Fall of 2024.

The process, tactility, and history of relief printing meshes with my interest in post-digital production and my desire to connect with people. Despite struggling with attention deficit in many aspects of my life, I have discovered that there is something about printmaking that keeps my focus.

There is a meditative quality inherent in the printmaking process. When I create a print, I join with the subject. All of the aesthetic signifiers of the analog and handmade – the texture of wood grain, the bite impression, an imperfect edition – allow me to reconnect with the physical self and the natural world.
