Biography

Following a long career in urban planning and a stint as a non-profit executive director — ahem, while raising and launching two children —  I’ve found my bliss in printmaking. I work primarily in relief — linoleum and woodcut (though aquatint thrills me too). I’m inspired in equal parts by the urban environment, natural landscapes, and family narratives. The tactile joy of cutting a block and the mystery of transferring an image is simply magical.

I am forever grateful to my wonderful instructors at the Art Students League of NY who opened my eyes to the wonders of printmaking.
