I received a BA from StonyBrook University with a focus on printmaking and a Certificate in Natural Science Art and Illustration from the New York Botanical Gardens. The subject of my lithographs is the natural world. For still-life’s, I compose scenes with the objects I collect, using dramatic lighting to emphasize what I find most compelling about their appearance. The lithography stone’s surface texture allows me to create shades and tones more subtle than I can produce on paper. The velvety black that ink produces is perfect for the shadows that define nature’s details.
