Craig Fisher is a Printmaker/ Fine Artist, operating Ibis Press Studio in Northwest Ohio.
Craig received his B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Toledo, and has worked as an
Illustrator, and Commercial Art Director. In 2025, he participated as a Visiting Artist-in
Residence at the Morgan Conservatory & Education Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Along with
national and international competitions, he was awarded a 2024 and 2025 Ohio Arts Commission
Individual Opportunity and Artist with Disabilities Access grants. In 2025 and 2026 he was
awarded the Toledo Lucas County American Rescue Plan Act Individual Artist Grant.
As he states: “Printmaking demands that one strives for a disciplined process, but not so narrow
that one ignores the occasional detours that give prints their freshness and sense of immediacy. In
a world saturated with digital images, physical scale can reassert the importance of the tangible,
the immersive, and the monumental. In my art, I try to reclaim space and encourage viewers to
slow down and engage more deeply. Monumentality may be observed in modest residences,
pillared stelae, or industrial ruins. My lifelong interest in world cultures and the Natural Sciences
have opened content that I also explore through my works.”
