Using a traditional engraver’s burin, Lindquist engraves his ideas into copper plates, then prints the editions in his private studio. He has explored the engraving medium for more than 50 years, and his work is represented in many public collections, including The Albertina, Whitney Museum of American Art, Gallería degli Uffizi, and Art Institute of Chicago. He was awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards from SAGA in 2010 and the State of Arkansas in 2004. He is Distinguished Emeritus Professor of Art, Arkansas State University-Jonesboro. He holds bachelors and masters degrees from The University of Iowa and Emporia State University.
